International dialogue and angagement

This program seek to engage with the key international bodies,
african union organs and sub regional bodies through research and dessemination of findings
on the role and opportunities that these institutions have in promoting and safe guarding
human right,human security and accountability.

The program intends to engage and popularizze use of regional and international human rights procesure
to advocate for legal reforms and human rights protection.

As part of this program the center will engage closely with the following bodies

African union and it various organs.

  • The African commission on peoples and Human rights.
  • The aAfrican court of Justice.
  • European union/parliament/ council
  • International CriminaL Court.
  • Regional blocks and their respective organs.

 

Media for accountability Initiative.

Communication and development are intertweened. One cannot succeed withouy support from the other
Hence to ensure that meddia institution and practitioners effectivelyt particiapate in promoting human-right, govenance accountability and human security.
They have to be supported to acquire the required analytical skills.
This programme strive to promote and entrench a culture of deep analytical and investigative reporting
on governance accountability rooting democratic governance institutions as well as
Upholding human rights and the rule of law.

 

Parliamentary Accountability Monitoring Initiative

A strong and effective parliamentary oversight, legislative, and representation reflects a
democratic maturity. Civil society would help greatly in parliamentary public discourse.
This can be done through sharing information with the relevant committees of parliament, creating
an interface between parliament and people and capacity building parliamentarians.
