The centre's governance structure and programatic interventions strive to promote experience and knowledge sharing through conducting training , outreach, exchange and learning processes as well as providing technical expeertise and policy assistance.

The programme runs the great Great Lakes Round-Table initiative which provides critical economical, social, political and human security policy research and analysis.

The Round-Table is also a training and capacity building istitute for policy makers in the fields of transitional justice, human-rights, human security and conflict prevention.

The training provides proffessionals in these fields with an opportunity to explore ways to strengthen their skills, engagements, communication and collaboration accross disciplines to better achieve mutual goals.
