The International Center for Policy and Conflict (ICPC) is a non-profit and non-partisan organization founded in 2005 to create a platform to foster democratic, peaceful, secure and just societies in Africa and globally. The Great Lakes and Horn of Africa region which have experienced widespread political instability for decades is the ICPC major focus. The center is registered in Kenya under the Trustees (Perpetual Succession) Act Chapter 164.

OBJECTIVES
- To promote accountability, deepen culture of justice and respect for human rights;
- To end the culture of impunity and establish the rule of law;
- To develop a usable past by breaking cycles of repression and assist in institutional and societal reform;
- To pursue accountability for human rights abuse and economic crimes;
- To push for reparations for victims, and facilitating reconciliation processes;
- To create understanding of transitional justice, post-conflict reconstruction and development;
- To track and monitor the transitional justice process and outcomes;
- To research and monitor mechanisms in transiting societies and offer policy guidance;
- To develop exchange programmes with local, regional and international societies;
- To create a reliable regional transitional justice and human security focal point;
- To do all such things that are incidental to/or conducive to the attainment of any of the above objectives.
